As the Director of Talent Acquisition at Johns Hopkin’s All Children’s Hospital, Carol oversees, directs and manages a team of 10 in the recruitment process for one of the most progressive organizations in the healthcare industry to meet the needs of a demanding pediatric hospital under the Johns Hopkins Health System. Recently featured on NBC Nightly News for her progressive strategies in healthcare recruitment, Carol is transforming Talent Acquisition for Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital.
Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, located in St. Petersburg, FL, is the most advanced children’s hospital on Florida’s west coast and is recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a Best Children’s Hospital. In April 2011, All Children’s became the only U.S. hospital outside the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. region to join Johns Hopkins Medicine. Together, these organizations are dedicated to treatment, education, research and advocacy to improve children’s health.
After serving in the United States Air Force for ten years, Carol’s experience in the Talent Acquisition Industry began in Olsten Staffing, Lucent Technologies as a corporate recruiter, and she worked for Bernard Hodes Group for 12 years working with organizations to put strategies in place. Her background combines extensive Human Resource consulting, recruiting, marketing and advertising expertise. With her strong understanding of the many challenges in today’s competitive labor market environment she is considered a subject matter expert in the employer marketing and branding process. This expertise has proved to play a crucial role in the development of talent management and acquisition strategies. Carol is a frequent speaker at HR and SHRM events, national programs and training seminars to focus on the areas of talent acquisition and talent communications.
Carol serves on the 2018 SHRM Special Expertise Panel for Talent Acquistion and has been featured, quoted and the subject of an NBC Nightly news story for her expertise and knoweldge in the Talent Acquisition Space.
Carol is also the Past President of the HR Florida State Council which is the largest state council 17,000+ members, under the SHRM umbrella, where she oversees a board of 62 members and 7 Executives members. Carol has been a SHRM volunteer since 2001.
Carol resides in Land O Lakes, FL with her husband Don McDaniel of 25 years.
